The seeds were planted over a series of social engagements--a poker game here, a pop-up bbq there-- soon, a concept grew into a business plan and a vision beyond retail came to fruition. Three founders joined forces and the cannabis culture collective was formed. 4&20 Blackbirds launched as a dispensary delivery service at 2016’s peak of political turmoil. Since then, we’ve grown into more than a just top shelf menu.
We have to keep it real in the workplace, deal with the trials of trivial and ernest political conversations and the realities of America today. In our current political climate, cooperating around the intention to give cannabis the representation it deserves adds another issue to mitigate as a team--surviving state legalization..or not depending on the federal government’s engagement over the next four years. Something special about our collective is the degree of camaraderie among us, especially when, as both a team and individuals, the personal is political.
Our collective operates on a platform built from the ground up. Collaborating across diverse backgrounds, our rag tag team handles everything from web design and analytics to photography and editorial production, in addition to managing product curation, marketing, and delivery operations. Our unique approach to growing our brand allows us to break free from a standardized aesthetic and invites the newby, the patient, and the discerning cannaisseur to indulge in an elevated experience. Our collective recognizes cannabis’ indisputable place in medicine. Our mission takes health and wellness to a higher standard.
As a small but growing startup, we cultivate our individual strengths to overcome challenges and collaborate over the common thread of cannabis. Still getting the nuts and bolts in order, still holding each other accountable to pay due deposits to the HR jar, we all share in the creative process, make notes for our mockumentary, and take advantage of the opportunity to truly work as a team. We are dedicated, innovative, and passionate about what we do, and we have a great time doing it.
Stay tuned for new additions to our menu and our ever-growing cannabis culture collective platform.
